I'm looking for short stories -- romantic, erotic flash of less than 1000 words -- to be included in the "Lagniappe" section of my quarterly newsletter and on my blog. Stories should not have been previously published. No multiple or simultaneous submissions please. Rate is $0.01 per word, paid via Paypal upon publication. I'm asking for first electronic rights; after three months, you can submit elsewhere. If you'd like it removed at that time from my blog archives, let me know.
- This is primarily a cross-promotional venture. Your fans will read my newsletter; my fans will read your story...
- I choose one story per quarter. It gets published on the first of the month in the .PDF newsletter and then toward the middle of the month on my blog.
- These should be romantic and erotic, meaning frank and descriptive language -- that should also be beautiful -- is appreciated, and there should also be a happily ever after for the couple or menage. - There also needs to be a plot. Do not send straight porn. I want a conflict beyond getting the other character off. Tell me a story with a clear beginning, middle, and end that also happens to have sex in it. If you are curious, read my store "New Dat" archived at Whipped Cream Reviews.
- BDSM is encouraged, as that is mostly what my readers expect of me. Also welcomed is F/F and menage of all varieties.
- I do not prefer first person point of view. Limited third is much better in my mind, and stories written in limited third will have a better chance of making it.
The regular deal-breakers apply: absolutely no pedophilia, necrophilia, scat play or golden showers, bestiality, snuff, etc. DO NOT SEND ANYTHING LIKE THIS! I'm looking for happy stories involving two or more consenting adults. All characters involved in the relationship must be over eighteen.
If your story is over 1000 words, I may still use it, but the pay will cap out at $10.
Please submit in an .RTF file, double spaced, twelve point Times New Roman font.
Include a bio of less than one hundred words and links to your blogs, sites, or notable publications in your email.
I will also include an announcement, including cover art, of one book of yours you would like to promote in my newsletter along with any links you would like to feature. These can be included on the blog as well.
I will edit your work before it appears in my newsletter.
